Rooms provide a convenient way to group your devices together. Room short cuts can be added to the mobile InControl app for quick access to the device in a given room.
Rooms also provide a Room Manager. Device in the room manager can automatically be managed by InControl if you add occupancy devices -- such as motion and door/window sensors-- to the room. To allow the room manager power a device on or off automatically, double click the device from the devices screen and tick the box that says "Allow room manager use."
When Enable Room Occupancy Management is checked, then devices will be powered off automatically after the Occupancy timeout minutes have elapsed with all motion and door/window sensors reporting no activity.
To power devices back on when the room is occupied again, tick the box titled Restore Power.
